Before this, I spent over a decade in corporate finance and IT consultancy. Systems, operations, the gap between how a business presents itself and how it actually performs. That background is why I don’t just look at a website and ask if it’s pretty. I look at it and ask what it’s costing you, and what needs to change to close the gap between how you show up online and the level you’re actually operating at.
I’ve also spent years telling reinvention stories through The Axiom Edit and building the tech behind The Black Life Coach Directory. So when a Black woman business owner tells me her website doesn’t reflect what she’s built, I’m not guessing at what that means. I’ve been in that world the whole time.
